Temporary Production Delay of 2MLDPA
Due to issues, some beyond our control, we have temporarily stopped production of our 2MLDPA. First we wish to thank all of those that have placed orders for this product and for the majority of our backlog that was created by the favorable review we received from in QST. But, at the time of print, we encounter two problems. The first being the obsolescence of the Hybrid power amplifier we utilize in the 75 watt model and the depletion of our standard enclosure.
At the time, we were in process of redesigning a new enclosure to provide a smaller package and new color scheme to match the Flex 6000 series transceivers, of which the product was designed to be utilized with.Along the way, we found out that a 75 watt model will no longer be available.And yes, like always, there are a few nagging components availability problems we were still dealing with (the nature of the business).They have now all gone away with a complete new design that is not a derivative of our standard Transverter line.
What does this mean?We will be offering and new smaller better looking package but at a lower output power rating of 50 watts maximum output.We will only offer the one power level but still have the same options. In result, it will produce a better but more economical product to the consumer.We hope to have Proto-type pictures up on our website for review in the very near future along with the new pricing and desire to be in full production by April 1st, 2016.
Because of this delay, those of you that wish to change or cancel your order may do so at any time. The orders that are remaining will be processed in the order that they were placed. Some existing orders will receive new lower pricing due to the options that were ordered that are now standard in the new design.
